About Me & My Coaching Practice

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.

Some years ago, I found myself feeling overwhelmed by parenting, homeschooling, world events, and life in general. I found a wonderful life coach who helped me navigate those overwhelming times and discovered that I could live life with more clarity, authenticity, and joy. Fueled by curiosity, I chose to deepen my understanding of life coaching, enrolling in the Wayfinder Life Coach Training program and earning certification. This transformative experience, complemented by my innate compassion, empathy, and listening skills, brings me immense joy as I help people in meaningful ways through life coaching.

But what is life coaching, exactly? A life coach helps you get clear on what you want most from life and then uncover how best to achieve it. Life coaching is akin to having a personal trainer for your soul—someone who poses powerful questions to help you unlock the answers you already possess. This process is particularly beneficial when feeling overwhelmed, unmoored, or out of balance. My client-led approach guides you towards authenticity, self-compassion, and a sense of ease.

So, what happens during a session? At first glance, it might look like an ordinary conversation, but beneath the surface, you'll find compassionate listening, powerful questions, curious exploration, and thoughtful strategizing. Emotions might emerge—tears or laughter - and are welcome in the safe space we create together. Focusing on your priorities, each session evolves as an authentic exploration of your concerns and aspirations.

Beyond our sessions, I often provide "homework" assignments, offering practical tasks to further your exploration between our meetings. This integration of insights and strategies into your daily life fosters ongoing growth and development until our next time together. I aim to empower you - not just during our sessions - but to equip you with valuable tools that you can continue to use for the rest of your life.

Is life coaching a form of therapy? It's important to recognize that coaching isn't a substitute for therapy. Life coaching is not meant to treat mental illness, trauma, or other serious emotional challenges. While coaching addresses habits and attitudes formed in past experiences, it is more future-focused and action-oriented. It's about creating results, not dealing with crises.

Inclusivity is the heart of my coaching practice. I'm dedicated to cultivating a safe and supportive space for people from all walks of life, valuing diversity and every unique perspective. Your coaching experience is tailored to meet you where you are, respecting the individuality of each client.
